Mini Cardinal Figurine

For many, Cardinals represent lost loved ones. A popular saying in relation to the bird is, 'When Cardinals appear, Angels are near'.
The phrase is poignant and really shows how much people attribute to these birds.

Dealing with loss and grief is hard enough, and when society drills in that this season is the 'most magical' or 'happiest' time of year, it can be disheartening.
I think this is a big reason why people can cling to the idea of loved ones visiting in the form of animals or other natural beings. We need to know that we have not truly parted from those we loved, that they still are with or by us when we need them most.

I created these little cardinals in hopes that the figurines can bring warmth and comfort to those who need it, especially during the toughest times of the year.

Due to their small size, they are perfect to have as a desk buddy, trinket or with you wherever you go.

Each cardinal is sculpted with a beige polymer clay. The eyes are made with micro beads and the body is colored in acrylic paints.
